A quick update

For a while, I hadn't been writing a lot. I'm not sure why, to be honest. There's never a shortage of things to write about, I just didn't sit myself down and make myself focus long enough to write an entire song. However, the other day, I gave myself an hour. I needed to have a song within an hour.

Setting a deadline made me work, and I wrote a new song. This song will debut on Sunday, Nov 27th at the LivLoveLyrics event. Needless to say, I'm super excited.

I think the main reason i hadn't been writing for myself was because I had been doing lots for other people, like writing toplines (which is super fun and I meet lots of cool people that way!) I had also been performing a lot, so I was working on perfecting my current songs in practice for whatever performance I had next. However, when I sat myself down to write again, it was like I had never left the piano. Whatever I had been feeling that day was gone, and I was in songwriting mode. And that is a great feeling, if I do say so myself.
